Lydia is a sex worker who likes her job, but tonight things don’t go as planned. She has a new driver, a religiously conservative Cuban named Hector, who hates his job. However, he needs the money to pay back his uncle, who is head of security at Lydia’s agency. Things go from bad to worse when Lydia receives news that her mother, who was caring for her child, died during an operation. Lydia has one night to pay off the arrears on her mother’s mortgage and collect her child before her aunt hands her over to Children’s Aid. Meanwhile, Hector’s uncle Alberto has told him that Lydia is stealing. If Hector can catch her, there will be a bonus, and he can pay his debt sooner. Lydia connects with Hector, who has a daughter as well. But Alberto is determined to catch Lydia. He grows more threatening, especially when he realizes Hector is taking her side. Alberto beats Hector unconscious and threatens Lydia with a knife. Hector rescues Lydia and kills his uncle. The two of them dispose of Alberto’s body, and then Lydia gives Hector the money she made. Now having bonded, Hector drives Lydia to the airport.
